Thanks for your interest in purchasing a subscription to the Field Guide to Child Welfare. A one-time payment of $20 will allow you unlimited access to the program for one year. A three-year subscription is also available for $50.

The web-based Field Guide will work on computers with Windows or Vista operating systems. Payments are made via a secure 3rd party service. Authorize.net uses the (SSL) Secure Socket Layer encryption process.

End User License Agreement

PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN THIS LEGAL AGREEMENT BEFORE USING THIS SOFTWARE PROGRAM. YOU MUST ACCEPT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN THIS AGREEMENT TO PROCEED. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPERATE THE SOFTWARE PROGRAM.

Web-based Field Guide to Child Welfare

The web based Field Guide to Child Welfare software is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. The web based Field Guide to Child Welfare is licensed, not sold.

1.  Software License. When used in accordance with the terms of this End User License Agreement ("License"), you are granted a non-exclusive license to use the web based Field Guide to Child Welfare software ("Software"). You may access the Software from any computer, as often as you choose within the time frames allowed by your individual or agency subscription agreement.

2.  Restrictions. You agree that you will not: (1) rent, lease, sub-license, or otherwise permit any other persons to use your personal user name and password to access the web based Field Guide Software;  and,  you will not (2) reproduce or distribute any of the text from the web based Field Guide Software in any format, electronic or printed, without first requesting and being granted written permission from the authors and publishers.

3.  Termination. This License is effective until terminated. This license will  terminate automatically on the last day of your purchased subscription period. This License will be terminated immediately without notice if you fail to comply with any provision of this License.  Upon termination of your license, your user name and password will become non-operational and you will not be able to access the Software.

4.  Warranty.  The Software is being made available to you "AS IS" and with no warranty as to its use or performance. The Child Welfare League of America and the Institute for Human Services do not and cannot warrant the performance or results you may obtain by using the Software, and do not warrant that the Software or Services are secure, free from bugs, viruses, interruption, errors, or other program limitations.  To the degree possible, the Institute for Human Services and the Child Welfare League of America will maintain the Software to promote its effective operations, will attempt to correct identified programming errors in a reasonable period of time, and will provide limited technical assistance to End Users to promote effective use of the Software.

5.  Hold Harmless.  By accepting this License Agreement, you agree to hold the Child Welfare League of America and the Institute for Human Services harmless for any risks or damages arising out of your use of the web based Field Guide to Child Welfare.  In no event shall the Child Welfare League of America or the Institute for Human Services be liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or other damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss or corruption of business data or information, cost of procurement of substitute goods, lawsuit or other legal action taken against End User and/or End User's employing organization, or other pecuniary loss) arising out of this agreement, or the use of or inability to use the Software, even if the Child Welfare League of America and the Institute for Human Services have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

6.  General Provisions. If any part of this License is found void and unenforceable, it will not affect the validity of the balance of the License, which shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms. This  License shall not prejudice the statutory rights of any party dealing as a consumer. This is the entire agreement between the Child Welfare League of America and the Institute for Human Services, Inc. and End User relating to the Software and it supersedes any prior representations, discussions, undertakings, communications or advertising relating to the Software.

7.  U.S. Government Restricted Rights. The Software and Documentation are "Commercial Items," as that term is defined at 48 C.F.R. §2.101, consisting of "Commercial Computer Software" and "Commercial Computer Software Documentation," as such terms are used in 48 C.F.R. §12.212 or 48 C.F.R. §227.7202, as applicable. Consistent with 48 C.F.R. §12.212 or 48 C.F.R. §§227.7202-1 through 227.7202-4, as applicable, the Commercial Computer Software and Commercial Computer Software Documentation are being licensed to end users (a) only as Commercial Items and (b) with only those rights as are granted to all other end users pursuant to the terms and conditions herein.
